OVERVIEW
Below are the most frequently asked questions regarding Marketplace Inventory
Q. Can inventory be oversold?
No, inventory availability on the Marketplace is pulled directly from our live inventory data, so orders from Retailers will not be oversold.
Q. Are other Brands going to be on my invoice if the retailer orders from multiple brands?
No, while the Retailers’ cart can add multiple brands, the final checkout splits each brand into a separate, itemized sub-order that functions in the same way as an order submitted on the Nabis Portal, with fully distinct manifests, payment terms, discounts, and no line items or pricing information will appear on any other Brands’ suborders.
Q. Is there a ‘back-order’ feature in the Marketplace?
Not at this time. Retailers will see an ‘Out of Stock’ logo on the products that are currently not available.
Q. Is there a live inventory count on products listed on the marketplace?
Yes, available inventory counts will appear on the front product cards.
Q. Is there FIFO Batch Logic on the Marketplace?
Yes, if a Marketplace-listed product is sourced from a SKU that has multiple Linked SKUs, the soonest-to-expire batch will be displayed on the Marketplace Order Display (with its corresponding COA and expiration date), and, if that batch is depleted, the next to expire batch will be used.
To view the Linked SKUs, please click on Inventory -- Products, it will be under the ‘Linked SKUs’ column.
Q. Can I control how much inventory is shown on the Nabis Marketplace?
Yes, you can set a limit of the total inventory on the Marketplace for a specific product, on the product Create/Edit Modal -- Inventory Tab -- Products -- Edit Product Button. For example, if you set 300 units for a product, a total of 300 can be purchased collectively by Retailers on the Marketplace. This is in addition to our existing Product Sales Rules functionality (see next question), where you can additionally (optionally) set a more specific maximum per batch for each individual Retailer in a tagged Retailer Group.
NOTE: For both inventory maximum allocations, this does not lock your inventory in any way. These settings can be changed at any time, and any/all inventory that Retailers can order on the Marketplace is also accessible to Brand Nabis Users from the pool of 'Available' Inventory
Q. Can we cap the inventory that is available to specific Retailers?
Yes, you have full control over how much inventory is allocatable to Retailer Groups (described below). In the Product View (Inventory -- Products -- ‘Pencil’ Icon), then click the ‘Sales Rules’ tab choose which Retailer Group you’d like to add an Inventory Rule for, then click the Add Rule button (see screenshots below). There is a ‘Maximum Available Inventory’ Optional field where you can enter a capped amount of inventory that may be purchased per retailer in that retailer group for the lifetime of that Batch.
Example: Brand sets the ‘Maximum Available Inventory’ for 100 for Product ‘Test-Bud’ for a specific retailer group, comprised of retailers, Bob, Joan, and Harry. That means that each one of the retailers would be able to purchase 100 of Test-Bud, with a maximum of 300 allocated in the inventory.
