OVERVIEW
The Promotions feature lets brands create and manage discounts for retailers directly through the Nabis platform. Promotions can help drive sales, reward key accounts, and launch new products.
This document provides an overview of how promotions work, what’s new in the updated system, and how to manage them in the Promotions Dashboard.
WHERE TO CREATE AND MANAGE PROMOTIONS
Navigate to the Promotions dashboard
Click on the “Sales” section from the Nabis sidebar. The Promotions tab will exist within this section

Edit, duplicate, deactivate, or delete existing promotions

CREATING A BUY X GET Y PROMOTION
Step 1: Add Basic Details
Buy X Get Y details
Choose a clear, unique promotion name — this will be visible to retailers.
Enter a promotion name (this will be retailer-facing).
Set the start and end dates for when the promotion will be active.
Optionally, restrict to specific payment terms (e.g., COD only).
Step 2: Define Retailer Purchase Requirements
Customer Purchases
Choose whether the promotion is based on a minimum purchase quantity (units) or minimum spend ($).
Select the product or SKU the retailer must buy.
Each Buy X Get Y promotion can include only one product or SKU as the purchased item.
The purchased and reward items must match in type — either product-to-product or SKU-to-SKU (mixing product and SKU is not supported).
Use the Product Selection Modal to search and select the desired item.
Step 3: Set Up What the Retailer Receives
Specify the quantity or amount of the item the retailer will receive.
Select the product or SKU the discount applies to.
Each Buy X Get Y promotion can include only one product or SKU as the rewarded item.
The purchased and reward items must match in type — either product-to-product or SKU-to-SKU (mixing product and SKU is not supported).
Choose the discount type:
Percentage (%) off
Dollar ($) off
Free (for Buy One Get One offers)
For “Buy One, Get One” (BOGO) promotions, set the quantity of items purchased and rewarded to One and then simply select Free as the discount type
Step 4: Select Eligible Retailers
All retailers will be marked as eligible by default. To adjust this you can select specific retailers in the Retailer selector modal instead.
To limit participation, open the Retailer Selector Modal and choose specific retailers.
(Optional) Set redemption limits:
Per retailer: Maximum redemptions per retailer account.
Global cap: Total available redemptions across all retailers.
CREATING AN AMOUNT-OFF PROMOTION
Step 1: Enter your high-level details of this amount-off promotion
Choose a clear, unique promotion name — this will be visible to retailers.
Enter a promotion name.
Set the start and end dates for when the promotion will be active.
Optionally, restrict to specific payment terms (e.g., COD only).
Step 2: Set up the purchase conditions
Select whether the discount applies at the Order level or Line Item level.
For Line Item promos, choose:
Specific products
Specific SKUs
When you select specific products your promotion will automatically include any future products added to those selections
Choose whether to include a minimum purchase requirement.
If included, it can be based on units or spend ($).
Define the discount type:
Percentage (%) off
Dollar ($) off
Add at least one tier to define the minimum purchased (if included) and the discount.
Step 3: Select Eligible Retailers
All retailers will be marked as eligible by default. To adjust this you can select specific retailers in the Retailer selector modal instead.

BEST PRACTICES
Use clear, retailer-facing names (e.g., “20% Off Spring Launch”).
Schedule start and end dates ahead of time to ensure a smooth rollout.
Use redemption limits to control promo usage.
FAQs
1. Who can create promotions?
Users with Brand Admin permissions can create, edit, and delete promotions. All organization users can view promotions.
2. What types of promotions can I create?
You can create:
Amount Off Order
Amount Off Line Item
Buy X Get Y (BXGY)
3. Can I target specific retailers?
Yes. All retailers are eligible by default, but you can choose specific retailers during setup.
4. What happens when a promotion reaches its redemption cap?
Once the cap is reached, the promotion will automatically deactivate and no longer appear in Order Forms or the Marketplace.
5. Can I restrict a promo by payment terms?
Yes. You can limit eligibility to COD payment terms.
6. Will new products be included automatically?
If using the Amount off promotion yes, any future products added to a selected category or product group will automatically be included.
