Brand Credit Page Overview - Credit Limits
In the "Credit" subpage under the "Accounts" tab, three new columns have been added: "Balance", "Available", and "Credit Limit".
- The "Balance" reflects the total amount you have with the retailer. The number includes the outstanding balance (delivered but within terms) or the overdue balance (delivered and terms have lapsed).
- Once a "Credit Limit" is set, the "Available" column shows the maximum order total a retailer can place with you.
How Do I Set a Credit Limit?
- If you are an Org Owner or Brand Admin, you can set a credit limit for any retailer by selecting the retailer and editing their settings:
- You can add or remove a credit limit using the “Add credit limit” and “Remove credit limit” options:
- If you accidentally set a credit limit lower than your current balance with the retailer, the page will remind you that this is not allowed.
What Happens Once a Credit Limit is Set?
- Once credit limits are set, org owners, brand admins, managers, and users cannot create an order for a retailer if it exceeds the current credit limit:
- If you are part of a sales org, sales org users cannot place orders if the order exceeds the retailer's credit limit:
What Will Retailers See?
- Retailers will always be able to see their available credit with the brand when they visit the brand’s home page.
- If a retailer adds a product that exceeds their available credit to their cart, they will be reminded that the order will exceed available credit before the product is added.
- If a retailer chooses to proceed with checkout, they will be unable to check out if the order exceeds the credit limit with the brand.
