OVERVIEW
Nabis is able to pick up inventory from retailers as requested by our brand partners. The guide below outlines the process and compliance requirements for return pickups.
Return Eligibility Requirements
1. Confirm the following:
- Reason for the return
- Original order
- Product(s) is not expired or recalled without OCM approval
- Expired/damaged goods should be destroyed at retailer. Brands may choose to issue credits directly.
The product(s) must be in the same condition as delivered. Should not have additional barcodes, labels added to them, or tampering
If additional labels have been applied, or if the product is defective, the product(s) will be quarantined at Nabis, and cannot be returned to active inventory.
The Metrc return manifest has been created
Brand approves $250 return fee, unless return is due to Nabis error
2. Once confirmed, Nabis admin users create a “Return from Retailer” order in the Nabis system. The following fields are required:
Pick up location
Pick up date
Point of contact at the retail location
- Original order number included in the PO/SO field
All line items and quantities being returned, aligning with Metrc return manifest
3. Nabis will dispatch a driver to arrive on the specified date. The driver will only be able to collect the product if a physical manifest is provided by the retailer upon arrival. The driver will not physically verify the accuracy of the order, this will be done when the product is back at our warehouse.
4. Once returned to the warehouse and verified for accuracy, the “Return from Retailer” order will be marked as “Delivered” in the Nabis system.
5. Credit will be applied to the original invoice for the value of the returned units. If the original invoice has already been paid, the brand should apply the credit to an existing open invoice or to the retailer’s next invoice.

Nabis is not able to accept any product exchanges or expired product.
Nabis drivers may only accept return units from a retailer if this has been scheduled and confirmed. They are not permitted to take back unapproved returns.
Expired, damaged, or unsellable product should be destroyed at the retailer unless OCM-approved otherwise.
