QR Code and Retail ID Labeling

OVERVIEW

As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting seamless retail deliveries, we want to inform our brand partners about a specific request some retailers are now making: the inclusion of QR codes on unit-level packaging. If a retailer you are shipping to requires QR codes, we are happy to accommodate this request. However, please note that a fee of $0.30 per unit will be applied to cover the cost of generating and labeling these codes.

Below, you’ll find a list of retailers who currently require QR codes. This list will be updated as new requirements arise. If your deliveries are directed to any of these retailers, the QR code service will automatically be included and invoiced accordingly.

FEE

In order to comply with QR code requirements from certain retailers, Nabis is now able to perform this service on your behalf. As the last-mile distributor, Nabis has to apply these QR Codes, and this cannot be solved at the manufacturing level. 

METRC RETAIL ID RETAILERS
All orders to the following list of retailers will require METRC Retail ID for the retailer to accept them. Please note this is per their required intake process.

QR CODE RETAILERS
All orders to the following list of retailers will automatically fall into our QR coding process, with the labeling fee and added lead time applied. Please note this is per their required intake process.

These stores must have QR codes generated and applied to the contents of their orders. Specifically, these retailers are requiring that a QR code be applied to each individual unit and to each case-pack.

• When scanned, the QR codes will show the corresponding METRC Package UID that is transferred to the retailer. When applied, the QR code will not cover any government warning labels, the CA warning symbol or product content

• Nabis will charge our hourly labeling fee of $0.30 per unit to cover the cost of this added step to our distribution services

• Orders that require Nabis to apply QR codes will be locked for editing (7) days prior to delivery. Any further requests for edits will require additional labeling fees in order to be processed. We strongly recommend that orders placed to these retailers are finalized and triple-checked prior to submission

• We will need up to 7 days additional lead time to process these orders. Once you submit your order, our team will review the contents and add it to our list of QR-coded orders. We will then adjust the date to ensure our team has adequate time to prepare and apply every single QR code prior to delivery. Please wait until you see your order is in a “scheduled” status to confirm the delivery date, as the date you select will typically not be met for these orders

• As additional retailers begin to require this service, we will update our processes accordingly. Please email help@nabis.com if a retailer that is not listed in this message requires QR codes to be added to their orders.

• ​Some retailers may accept Lucid QR codes. Please check with your retail contact to learn more.

Please note that Nabis is not providing UPC/barcoding services at this time. We encourage barcodes to be applied to units at the manufacturer level, as we do not provide barcoding services at our facilities.
